2021

Choreographer : FIRST LADIES produced by Lionsgate/Showtime 

In conjunction with The Historic Academy of Medicine and Georgia Tech,

Rachel Truitt reimagined her work for stage " IN THIS HOUSE" with in the walls of this historic landmark. This immersive experience sold out all shows at its premiere Aug 2021.

2020

 

Admix Project,  creatively directed and produced by Rachel Truitt, Catalyst. A multi media project featuring the photography of Bubba Carr and the choreography of selected artists in the Atlanta community.  Summer 2020, Covid times,  as a company Admix Project pivoted their normal live show presentation to created a work for film, Letters from an Artist. As our live show of this work was such a success we wanted to explore how this would creatively evolve for film. This film is set to premier Summer 2021.

2019/2017

​

In 2017/2018 Rachel Produced and Choreographed in collaboration with Zepher Instrumental and Jon Carr, DREAMSCAPE, a world premier at 7 Stages Theater. Rachel also created and choreographed in collaboration with the Youth Creates program and Heidi Howard, Courageous Human Interactions,  as well as Letters from an Artist for the Gotta Dance Contemporary Company.

Created a commissioned work for 7 Stages Curious Human Encounters "A Holiday Cover Up"

In 2018 Rachel also choreographed for the band Great, Good, Fine OK for their music video Touch.

n 2016/2017  as Artistic Director and Founder of Gotta Dance Contemporary, Rachel Truitt Produced and Directed "Juxtapose, In This House, In Process and Kairos" all  world premiered at 7 Stages Atlanta.

In 2017 Rachel Choreographed the Atlanta Sports Awards at the Rialto Center for the Arts

 

 Choreography for musical artist Michael Kiwanuka for his music video " Cold Little Heart." Rachel created concept and Choreographed for Prisca video "SKIN"

2010-2000

Featured performer for Super Bowl XXXlV 2000 Halftime show produced by Disney. Falcons Halftime shows 2010,2011&2012 produced by Georgia Lottery. Dancer for ESPN Commercial featuring Charles Barkley. Featured Dancer and Assistant to the Choreographer Jamie Parrish for Vampire Diaries on the CW in 2011 and Head Choreographer for the Vampire Diaries on the CW in 2012. Rachel was also selected to body double for the movie "Scary Movie 5."

In 2007 Rachel studied dance at KSU. From 2009-2011. Rachel was a member of Georgia Dance Theater, performing ballets including Coppelia, Peter Pan, Nutcracker and West Side Story, as well as choreographing contemporary works "Broken Dolls" and "Roads."While on Staff at Gotta Dance Rachel has presented work for their "Passion to Dance" choreography showcase, she was also featured in Dance101's Show at the Alliance Theater "Koru" under the direction of Bubba Carr, She was a guest artist for Tish (NYU) master program end of the year showcase. Rachel was honored to be asked to perform at the 2009 Dance Canvas choreography by Lonnie Davis.

Rachel was Featured Choreographer at the 6th annual Destined to
Dance Awards, She was selected and performed at the GA Dome under the direction of Cici Kelly for 2012 GA Lottery Halftime show. Her Work with Impact's Conservatory Program was Honored and Placed at Youth American Grande Prix in both 2012 , 2013 and 2014. Rachel was also choreographer and artistic director for 2012's "Remove the Ego" at King Plow Arts Center. Rachel was Artistic Director and Choreographer for "In Regard" Contemporary showcase in 2012. Rachel is also featured choreographer for "Phazes of Love" 2013. Rachel is now Founder and creative director for Gotta Dance Contemporary, her creation of SURFACE world premiered at Westside Cultural Arts Center in the winter of 2015. This work also featured music by recording artist Prisca and cello quartet Atlanta Celli.
